Stabilization and Containment of Airport Fluids

Airports take careful measures to capture, contain, and treat deicing fluid and fuel runoff. In capturing the deicing fluid, the GEOWEB® system stabilizes the pavement aggregate base layer and stores the deicing fluid in the contained aggregate voids. Stormwater containment basins built with impervious liners prevent infiltration of jet fuel and other contaminants into the groundwater. The GEOWEB system covers and protects geomembranes from puncture and solar degradation.
